Persian-American start-up restaurant, dedicated to the memory and message of Parisa Pourpezeshk - all you need is love.

Promoted to manager four weeks in, following the walk-out of the Co-Owner & Head Chef. Worked side-by-side with the remaining Owner strategizing on development and overseeing daily operations. Responsible for uniting and nurturing a team that was instrumental to remaining open and navigating the first year in business.

Operational Planning & Organization

  • Established regular leadership meetings to clarify, set, and review weekly objectives

  • Implemented system for daily operations, identifying daily tasks, priorities, and responsibilities specific to each role

Relationship Development & Team Building

  • Employed a collaborative approach to motivate and unite an unseasoned team through the opening and establishment of new restaurant

  • Held “family meals,” and organized regular group activities, in and outside of work

Marketing & Events

  • Created and managed social media platforms

  • Organized and hosted special events, inclusive of summer pop-ups, private caterings, and fundraiser

  • Partnered with local organizations

Onondaga historical association

Situated within a historical building block of downtown Syracuse, Parisa Restaurant, in partnership with the Onondaga Historical Association, became home to an exclusive display of pieces from Syracuse’s history.

halloween “make-a-wish” fundraiser

In honor of the 2-year anniversary of Parisa’s passing

Organized and raised money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of CNY. Gathering donations from local businesses and other organizations, including the Syracuse Crunch hockey team, raising upwards of $1,000 through an intimate family & friends Halloween event.
